Geelong Garage Doors

My parents required their garage doors to be motorised due to their aging and inability to safely lift them. The work was done promptly and a few months later the doors are still working well and it has changed my parent’s life, allowing them more independence whilst reducing their risk of falls and injury. Truly unprofessional service, attitude and failure to warrant company’s and manufacturers (ECO doors) warranty. Purchased a brand new garage door $3728, since the repairs done by geelong garage doors failed after only 2 weeks, to then experience, 6 DAYS after installation, the paint coating was coming off, and scratches deep into the metal panels throughout, when the door operates. I provided pictures and feedback, and Alec from ascent doors ( sub contractor for Geelong garage doors) inspected and advised myself & the business, this was a manufacturing issue. Despite this, l received no correspondence or inspection from either Geelong garage doors or ECO Doors & after further pursuant from myself, a response from the business operations manager Graham Schwarz stating the manufacturer have said “since the marks are not visible when the door is closed, they have informed us to take down the door, repair the scratches via a touch up paint and then reinstall the door” . What a disgrace and total disregard for their own terms and conditions and 12 month warranty and Australian consumer law. My garage door needs to be totally replaced, the repairs will not fix the issue, as the panels manufactured vary in width and will simply reoccur once reinstalled. As a single female dealing with this company, the technicians were very helpful and honest, also noting my repairs should not of been at my expense but of the companies, as all technicians sent to my house had no prior experience with my initial garage door, which then resulted in a replacement. In regards to the management of Geelong garage doors…. Shame on you and your appalling business dealings. After a letter of complaint to Geelong garage doors, who are non responsive, as adviced by ACCC and consumer affairs, l will be submitting an application for VCAT for a full replacement door and compensation under consumer law 276.

A bit of a mixed review unfortunately. Needed a 3m x 3m roller door repaired. Communication regarding obtaining a quote was good and highlighted quote fee. Arrived near the time the advised and managed to repair on the spot (and quoted estimate on full repair). All this earns good star rating. Reduced star rating is misplacing the padlock for said roller door, costing an additional $50+ to replace urgently for security reasons and not taking accountability.

Office staff were very helpful. Same day service at reasonable cost which was great as we couldn’t close the door. Guys knew what the problem was straight away.

These guys were great. Started with a lovely lady at the front desk and then had the guys coome out and completely fit a new motor - the door is approx 1975 and still they had patience and did a great job. Highly recommended.

Contacted them about getting a quote and they promptly gave one from photos that I sent through. They then came the next day and quickly fixed two roller doors for me. Olivia was great to deal with. Highly recommend.
