Ascent Garage Doors

Ascent Garage Doors is a family owned and run business based in Geelong. The owner, Alec Wilkinson, has been in the garage door trade for more than 11 years. The business was started about three years ago. Alec Wilkinson personally measures, quotes and installs every job. He has personally installed around 500 doors since starting Ascent, and more than 5,000 doors over his full career.

Ascent Garage Doors offers a 12-month workmanship guarantee. The business installs B&D, Gliderol and Danmar garage doors. It services Geelong, the Surf Coast and the Bellarine Peninsula. Most of its work is new builds, with builders across Geelong's growth corridors. Ascent Garage Doors provides installation, replacement, repairs, servicing and automation.

Emergency call-outs and installations for homeowners and short-stay properties in the Geelong area recur throughout the feedback for Ascent Garage Doors, with Alec the technician named in nearly every account. Customers in several reviews describe contacting him after another company had left a roller door or shed door inoperable, and report that he attended within days, corrected the earlier work and had the door running properly again. Motor replacement is the most frequently mentioned job, alongside servicing, maintenance, rear door fitting and roller door installation, with reviewers noting that problems were diagnosed and resolved during the same visit.

Punctuality and reliability come up often, including early morning appointments arranged around a customer's schedule and after-hours attendance when a car was trapped inside a garage. Clients repeatedly describe clear communication, straightforward quotes and pricing they consider competitive and fair, particularly for new motors. Friendliness, patience and practical advice are attributed to both Alec and Monique, with additional small repairs and odd jobs completed without fuss. Cleanliness and respect for the property are mentioned, and reviewers note that doors were left operating smoothly and looking good, prompting repeat bookings for servicing and further roller door work.
