4.1 / 5 · 94 totalI had the worst experience, my garage door was opening and closing after pressing the remote so requested for a service. After seeing the door, the Technician (Bill) said spring is broken. He said he will try to put tension on the spring and see. He put so much tension that the spring snapped and the door came down. This guy said both the springs are broken, I called another company and they confirmed only one spring is broken. I called and asked to speak to Manager, no response. Stay away from them.
This review is based solely on my personal experience and opinions. We previously used East Coast Garage Doors and had a great experience, and I understand the business is now operated by Best Doors. Unfortunately, this time the sales and after-sales experience was not what I expected. There were a few issues with the installation, including the sensor posts being a different colour from what I understood would be provided. When problems arose, I was generally referred to a call centre rather than receiving direct guidance by phone or email, which I found unhelpful. When I opened the control box for the first time, the plastic screws appeared damaged. I raised this with the company but was told they would not replace them. This was disappointing given the total cost of the gate was close to $20,000. Nathan, who assisted with the installation, was excellent and suggested that the screws may not have been damaged by us, and said he would look into arranging replacements. During a phone call with one manager, another staff member joined the conversation unexpectedly, which took me by surprise. Overall, based on my experience, I cannot recommend the company. UPDATE & REPLY: the business actually did not end up sorting some of the ongoing issues out - they refused to supply replacement parts for those that were defective. FURTHER UPDATE: really appreciate Steven and Kevin’s assistance in getting this sorted. Control box screw was replaced and posts repaired. They also sorted out a faulty controller that needed resetting. Thank you.
My garage door was serviced a long time ago by them and got their sticker with their number. I called them today and ask help for pairing the new remotes and the man and a nice girl, fix my issue in 5 mins. Thank you for your help. Great work. Will be back in future.
Highly recommend Best Doors Clontarf. The service is quick, friendly and professional. I’ve had them out a few times over the past 15 years to service my roller door and they’ve always delivered quality work. Today they programmed a new remote to an old motor within seconds. I owe it to Best Doors for why my garage door is still going strong.
My Merlin door closer didn't close properly after a power outage and I contacted Best Doors. One of your staff told me that the door needed reprogramming, talked me through the problem, and gave me clear instructions on how to fix it which I managed to do successfully. Many thanks for your prompt response.
Submitted an online enquiry on Sunday night, they called me Tuesday morning and the garage door motor was installed Tuesday afternoon (before any of the other companies had even phoned me back). Great price, super efficient; and Wayne, Riley and Ryan were all friendly and professional. Thanks!
Have had door serviced by them for many years, last service Nov 24 ( even when they were East Coast ) . Door failed and when I called them ( not available weekends!!) Left message AND sent notification through their website contact forms. No response so call mid morning Mon and still had to leave a message. Eventually they called and denied knowledge of my message from weekend. Staff not helpful and advised that if it was urgent they would send someone Wednesday but cost $305, if following week then $185. This is despite me being a regular customer over the years, NO consideration of fact that service done regularly and last one not 9 months previously..no guarantee on service said probably age of motor etc etc. Wiped them. You can do better with others i did get another company to agree to come out the morning I phoned them ( today as I write Mon.
