Fragments has traded in Hobart for more than 40 years and operates a physical store in the city alongside an online store. The business specialises in restoration products, including door, window and cabinet hardware; lighting; traditional electrical switches; fireclay sinks; bathroom fittings and tapware; plaster ceiling roses; vents and corbels; pressed metal panels; and Porter's Paints.
It sells handcrafted furniture created by Chris Blandford in his design studio in the hills of southern Tasmania, available exclusively through Fragments. The business also sells individual pieces of furniture made from new, recycled and salvaged timber.

I visited Fragments today and while it was clear there was an issue with their computer system (which they were actively trying to resolve on the phone), the two staff members were still incredibly helpful and attentive. Between them, they sorted exactly what I needed and were genuinely apologetic about the delay. Despite the hiccup, the service didn’t miss a beat. I left with exactly what I was after and couldn’t be happier with my chalk paint colour — it’s a perfect match for my project. Great customer service and a lovely experience over all.
A tap order from mid November 2024 arrived today 26 March 2025. This was promised January 2024 at the latest. Fragments ordered my Bastow tap from Tribata. This has been holding up our kitchen for one month. If it wasn’t for myself being persistent with Tribata I’m sure my tap would still be somewhere else. I should not have had to contact Tribata direct with phone call after phone call. Email after email. Only to be told by Fragments they understand my frustration. (What a throw away line). No I’m not happy with Fragments service on this matter or my dealings with Tribata.

Items are not cheap, but of a much higher quality than the local hardware stores. Always perfect service.
