Galton Supplies

Galton Supplies has operated in Townsville since 2002 and has been in the industry for nearly 20 years. It is the only steel door frame manufacturer in Queensland outside of the Brisbane area. At its workshop in Garbutt, the company manufactures fire rated steel frames and lead lined frames. It also manufactures a complete range of steel door frames for commercial and residential applications. Upon request, Galton Supplies supplies Australian made timber doors, fire-rated doors, lead lined doors and hardware. Its joinery division can install vision panels, cladding, edge stripping and air grille cut outs to timber doors, and it manufactures kick plates upon request.

The company supplies fire rated doors that use either Pyropanel, Ecore or FireCore, and supplies face sliding doors, timber cavity doors and timber cavity units. Galton Supplies manufactures and supplies steel door frames and timber doors to large commercial projects throughout Queensland, and supplies to both residential and commercial projects. It has worked on large-scale projects within the Health, Aged Care, Childcare, Government, Retail, Education and Defence sectors. Its products adhere to Australian Standards.

Galton Supplies is described by customers as a door manufacturer and supplier in Garbutt whose team knows its products well. One account highlights the expertise on hand, noting that such knowledge can be difficult to find locally, and the assistance given in sourcing a suitable door for apprentice training was appreciated, including a favourable arrangement made once the purpose was explained.

Reviewers mention friendly staff and solid workmanship, and the business is characterised as a local operation that supports local people. The feedback centres on help with selecting and obtaining the right door rather than a straightforward purchase, with the team guiding customers through their options. Customers who dealt with the business valued the advice they received and the manner in which staff assisted them.
