Jim Keys Garage Doors & Gates is repeatedly described as dependable and professional in the garage and gate work it undertakes around Ballarat. Several customers single out Sam for his care, courtesy and the tidy finish he brings to fitting door openers and carrying out routine maintenance. Lester and his team are named just as often, credited with installing sectional doors, electric motors and replacement motors for roller doors in carports; one account describes two aged units and their remotes being swapped out, with the packaging and retired components removed so nothing was left behind.

Reliability, honesty and sound tradesmanship come up time and again, along with being kept informed about every stage of the job. A readiness to show customers how to look after their doors is another recurring point, as is the speed of response, with a broken spring and a door that had been backed into both attended to within the same day. Quoting is described as prompt and clearly itemised, and advice on maintaining the door follows the work. Sam, Lester, Doc and Don are all tied to efficient, polite workmanship.
