Outdoor Steel Solutions Ballarat

Outdoor Steel Solutions was founded 20 years ago, when Craig Rutledge invested in the company and later became a Registered Builder. The team has grown to more than 40 professionals across five locations throughout Regional Victoria. The company has custom designed, manufactured, and constructed more than 5,000 sheds for customers throughout regional Victoria, using 100% Australian steel. Every project is backed by a 20-year Bluescope warranty.

Outdoor Steel Solutions offers sheds for residential, rural (including barns), and commercial use, as well as garages and carports for cars, caravans, boats and more. It provides a complete done-for-you service including design, council permits, and construction, with in-house staff for design, permits, and construction, guaranteed all-inclusive fixed price contracts, and mandatory site visits. The service area covers Ballarat and surrounding areas of Victoria.

A recurring theme across feedback for Outdoor Steel Solutions Ballarat is the seamlessness of a project handled from design through to completion. More than one customer describes a process in which the company managed permits, paperwork and construction while keeping them informed at every stage. More than one review highlights Leigh, Laurie, Nadine, Clare, Sam, Michelle, Phil and Brendan by name, praising their professionalism and the ease of dealing with them.

The quality of the finished build is a point that comes up often, with sheds, carports and workshops described as solid and well constructed. Customers note that projects were finished on or ahead of the estimated timeline despite permit issues, weather and restrictions. Clear quotes and fair value are mentioned, with one reviewer observing that the work sat at the higher end on price but that the result justified the outlay.

Tidiness and speed on site are also noted, one shed being erected in four days by a crew described as clean and professional. Advice during the design and property selection stage is valued, as is the ongoing follow-up after the build. The company operates as a one-stop service covering design, permits and construction for sheds, carports and similar structures around Ballarat.
