I was happy with the promptness of getting an initial quote for my garage doors, and the price was good. I am very happy with my new garage doors, but very disappointed with the lack of service and follow up from this business. The job had to be fully paid prior to installation, which is entirely reasonable. However, after a 4 week delay on the initially agreed time frame for the installation, I have now been waiting for an additional 4 weeks for the work to be completed, and a request for service to check/adjust the limit on one of the doors. I accept that delays are common in the building industry, and I believe that I have been patient with accommodating for such delays. But I am frustrated with the lack of service from Qld Roller Doors. I have requested an ETA on when the job will be completed, or at least some idea of a time frame. I do not enjoy writing reviews of this nature, and I feel I have been too much of an optimist with this business. I am still waiting for QRD to get in touch with me regarding when the work and required service will be completed.
The quality of work and the customer service both leave a lot to be desired. When things go wrong — and they did — there is zero urgency, zero accountability, and zero willingness to make it right in a timely manner. We were simply told to wait, with no acknowledgement that the situation warranted any kind of priority. The attitude from staff was dismissive at best. No apology, no ownership, just indifference. There are plenty of other options out there. Use them.
If you value your time, honesty and professionalism, STAY AWAY from QRD! With the ‘service’ they provided me, I am unsure how they have managed to stay in business this long. An ex-tenant wrote of my garage door and it had to replaced. I had Matt from QRD come out for a quote and I thought it all went well. The tenant told he had paid for the new door in full. I sent Matt several follow up emails asking if the tenant had paid. I was assured me had and the panels were being manufactured. After waiting about 2 months for my new door, I tried to contact Matt for an ETA. I tried to contact him via email, text, voicemails but he would not reply. I had to call the office and speak to the receptionist to get a response. It turns out the old tenant cancelled the order and I was not informed. As Matt had already done the quote and measured the new door, I wanted to proceed with the door. Matt told me he refused to do business with me as he ‘did not want to get in between the old tenant and I’. This made no sense as all I want to do was get the new door as quickly as possible. I called Kevin, his manager, explained the whole situation to him and gave him a chance to fix it. Kevin took over a week to get back to me (wasting even more of my time). He told me I had to get a quote elsewhere. I asked him why? What have I done wrong? He could provide me with no answers. Kevin had a chance to take accountability and make things right but instead, he doubled down on a poor decision. It is clear Kevin is not cut out to run a garage door company and would be more suited to a circus.
Just wanted to share a great experience I had with QRD. We have a new large garage door which had an issue this week. Rang Julie early (around 8.30am) and Julie sent out two team members immediately, all fixed before 10am. Polite, courteous, professional. Could not have wished for better service. Excellent product follow up.
I reached out to QRD over three weeks ago to book a service for my B&D panel garage door. The door had developed an error, leaving me unable to close it securely. However, despite my initial inquiry, a week passed without any communication from QRD regarding my request. Concerned about the lack of response, I took the initiative to call them to inquire about the status of my service request. During the call, I was assured that they had received my inquiry and that they would get back to me promptly with a scheduled time to inspect and fix the door. Unfortunately, despite this reassurance, I have yet to receive any further communication from QRD regarding the service appointment. The lack of follow-up and communication from QRD Garage Door Services has been disappointing and frustrating. As a customer who relies on their expertise to maintain and repair my garage door, I expected a more proactive and responsive approach to my service request. Overall, my experience with QRD Garage Door Services has been marked by poor communication and a failure to deliver on their promises.
Expect to pay $200 regardless of how long the service agent is there. I live 5 minutes down the road from the business and my roller door side bearing got a spray with WD40. I didn't know it was there or would have done it myself. The service agent was a pleasant enough guy and good to deal with, very polite and friendly. I would have been happy to pay $100 so I contacted the manager and basically there is no option for negotiation based on time. Much like paying a mechanic $400 to pull a stone out of your tyre because it was making a noise.
Very highly recommended, would use again. We had a 'Neo' roller door, auto motor (with three remotes), side jambs & head panel installed for our single car garage in Paddington QLD. We had a unique garage opening (with no previous door) that required a post to be installed on one of the front corners. We are extremely happy with the service, the product and the workmanship. The roller door is exceptionally quiet and smooth operating. The Neo product is a good balance between the economy of a standard roller door and the more expensive sectionalised doors whic are all the trend in terms of looks. Also, with the neo, it is still a roller door which doesnt take up ceiling height.
