I got them to install two garage doors. The back door kept opening spontaneously from the day one. I contacted Evenglide and asked them to rectify the issue. They sent two techs on two occasions and the issue never resolved. We were renovating the house and we were busy with work so we waited till the renovations to finish. When I contacted them for a revisit and rectify the issue, they wanted to charge me for it. I haven’t even used these two doors for two years and they were kept shut, despite the back door was spontaneously opening and I had to keep closing it from time to time. Now they want to charge me money to rectify the issue that was there from the get go, as it is out of warranty by three months. I wouldn’t trust this company, the people who answered the phone, Sandra was brash and talking over me, she also hung up on me as I was talking to her. She was speaking with authority on a power trip. I’m really disappointed that I didn’t push back when the issue occurred first when they installed it. They have notes saying two techs visited immediately after installation and they want charge money now to rectify an issue that was there from the beginning. Poor attitude and customer care. Note. They installed the doors so low that i cant use my garage space. Now im having to replace these tracts to have some space in the garage. They didn’t suggest anyway of saving the space of a smaller garage, what they did was to do a job that gives them maximum margin and forget about customer care.

If I could give Evenglide - Doors By Design In Blackburn, Victoria NEGATIVE 500 stars ==> -500, I would. When I called them on Wednesday, 5 November 2025, I explained my situation. I was transferred by Reception to their Sales Team. I explained my situation and detailed expectations to the sales guy when transferred to him. I expected Evenglide - Doors by Design to conduct the design, set-up, installation and look into ALL aspects/matters associated with a Garage Opener/Closer, with Phone App and Autolock installation at my place. I explained this clearly to the sales guy on the day I spoke with him on 5 November 2025. I said that what I do is pay and then after installation, plug and play. He was very keen to get my email address, full name and address; to provide a quote and brag about a German product. Instead, when I got his quote, I got a statement somewhere in there that stated that I as the customer am responsible for the weight/mass of the door, blah, blah , blah. What kind of statement is this? (I could use stronger words to describe and express my UTTER DISSATISFACTION, AND AM BEING KIND HERE). Is Evenglide - Doors by Design the expert or NOT? Do they expect their clients who are not the experts, to do their work for them? Remember, your clients/customers expect you to address/answer matters that they have asked you. They are NOT interested in what you THINK they want to hear. They are NOT INTERESTED in whatever products you have, and wherever they are made/from, if you DO NOT ANSWER their questions and quote to their EXPECTATIONS. I certainly am a client/customer like that, especially after explaining my situation and my expectations to the sales guy. I do NOT appreciate the quote I received from this sales guy at Evenglide - Doors by Design at their Blackburn, VIC office on 5 November 2025. The important items I asked and expected were not addressed. As I said, this sales guy was very quick and keen to ask for my email address and full name. I hope they are not using my email as a sales detail to say we got so many queries and so on. If you sales guys do NOT HEAR and LISTEN to your clients/customers and what they have spoken and clarified with you and their EXPECTATIONS, it is the fastest way to lose them and for them to write reviews like this. I would avoid this company at all costs. Total waste of my time, effort and energy.

Having Evenglide install my garage door was by far the smoothest and most satisfying part of my renovation project. Because my old house falls under a Heritage Overlay, there were restrictions on the exterior design, and the existing walls were already leaning and deformed, which made it quite challenging to find a right garage door that met my requirements. Paul was extremely professional, dedicated, and meticulous. After thoroughly inspecting the site and carefully understanding my needs, he proposed the most suitable solution. Also, throughout the entire process, he maintained excellent communication with me, promptly responded to all my questions with detailed explanations, and did his best to accommodate all of my requests. A professional installation team was then scheduled and arrived on time to carry out the installation. I’m very satisfied with the final result. I'm really happy that I have made the right choice working with Evenglide, Paul, and his professional team to install my garage door. Once again, thank you!

We re-engaged Evenglide to replace a garage door system they installed over 25 years ago that needed upgrading. Paul provided a new design that maximised on space as our garage is relatively not wide. He spent a couple of hours measuring and rechecking. It included a return visit with the fabrication manager Lucky to make certain his proposed design would work. The new installation works really well and we are very happy with it. Thank you Paul and Lucky for your excellent work. Evenglides' customer service from start to finish has been dependable, professional and otherwise great. They deserve this 5 star rating.
