What customers say

Based on genuine customer reviews

The Garage Guys FNQ draws a clear split in customer accounts, with praise for the hands-on work sitting alongside frustration at how projects were managed. Jasper, named repeatedly, earns credit for punctuality, detailed quotes and a friendly, knowledgeable manner, particularly when servicing garage springs and repairing doors. A handful of customers describe the completed repairs as well finished and the response quick, with jobs wrapped up inside a couple of days of first contact, faster than larger operators in the region could schedule an inspection.

Attention to detail and a willingness to exceed expectations come up often, as does straightforward communication before work starts. The counterpoint appearing across multiple accounts concerns coordination: missed appointments without notice, silence stretching for weeks after deposits were taken, and repeated excuses in place of delivery updates. Some customers report waiting months for doors or parts and eventually requesting refunds through official channels. The sizeable upfront deposit itself draws divided comment, seen by some as fair for a small operation and by others as problematic once contact faded. The owner's repair ability remains a consistent highlight.

Hopefully Jasper is no longer doing business. After paying a 75% deposit and getting nothing but excuses then no reply, I gave up 5 months later and contacted Fair Trading to eventually get my money back (I was one of many). On the upside, I’d give Fair Trading 5 stars.

Cannot rate Jasper from Garage Guys FNQ highly enough. Easy to communicste with, arrived and got the job done far quicker than any other larger company in town. Jasper has an astute attention to detail and went above and beyond. Other conpanies couldn't even give me a time frame, but Garage Guys had the job done within 2 days of contacting them. Some other reviews complain about the 70% deposit, but I completely understand being a small start up business - cancellations would be a killer. The price for the job was comparitive to other companies. I would highly recommend Garage Guys FNQ.

He might do a good job, but I wouldn't know. After 2 missed appointments. With one excuse being I'm too tired, and not even a msg after not turning up the second time. I've given up on him. He completely wasted my time. Don't waste yours.
